Good Morning and Happy Labor Day!
I am writing this post from the beautiful Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando. We will be very sad to leave this beautiful resort later today. We truly have had the times of our lives. I couldn’t imagine a better place to celebrate Reis’s Birthday and our wedding anniversary.
When we arrived very late Saturday evening, we were surprised when we walked into our room and there was a cupcake and a chocolate football welcoming us. What a way to welcome us and make us feel at home. Especially Reis, who smiled from ear to ear. Sunday Supper was a special one that was celebrated at Cala Bella, Rosen Shingle Creek’s Italian Gourmet Restaurant. We love their family style entrees. Everyone’s favorite was the special meatballs that have mozzarella stuffed in the middle and the sauce was a combination of tomato sauce with alfredo sauce drizzled on top. They were fantastic. Our evening ended with the signature Cala Bella Chocolate Cake with a special message.
I couldn’t imagine a better birthday celebration for Reis and a better way to end our summer. I am ready to get back into our Weekday Supper routine and this time of year, I need all the help I can get to get dinner on the table and the boys to football on time. Memories around the family table is what it is all about, whether at home or at a special getaway.
