Tilapia Caramelized Onions Tomatoes and Goat Cheese #SundaySupper

Tilapia Caramelized Onions Tomato and Goat CheeseAfter a busy week, sometimes it is those dishes that are so simple that are the most rewarding.  This dish is one of them.  I made this for Sunday Supper but honestly this Tilapia with caramelized onions, tomatoes, and goat cheese is perfect for a weeknight meal.  It cooks very quickly and is absolutely delicious![print_this]

Tilapia Caramelized Onions, Tomatoes and Goat Cheese

  • 4 Tilapia Fillets
  • 1 large Red Onion Sliced thin
  • 1 large Tomato cubed
  • 4 ounces of Goat Cheese crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire
  • 4 tablespoons of Butter
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  1. Melt Butter in large frying pan
  2. Add onion and brown
  3. Add the tilapia
  4. Sprinkle the Tilapia with the Worcestershire and salt and pepper
  5. Cover and simmer on low for 5 minutes
  6. Top the Tilapia with tomatoes and simmer for another 5 minutes or until the fish is no longer translucent (depending on the thickness of the fish)
  7. Remove from pan and plate with caramelized onions, tilapia, tomatoes and top with goat cheese[/print_this]

I like to serve with sliced baked potato sprinkled with olive oil and sea salt and a garden salad.

Tilapia is one my favorite mild, often eaten, fish. Always looking for new ways to serve it, and your caramelized onion, tomato and goat cheese prep sounds fantastic! Can’t wait to try it!

This looks so healthy and delicious!! And I LOVE the kid ratings at the end…I’d hate to reveal what my kids would have rated last night’s grouper recipe :)

This was a very easy and extremely delicious recipe. I added some avocado on top as well for an extra kick. I will definitely be making it again.

Here you go again making me hungry again LOL. This sounds great and might leave the tomatoes raw and add juice from a lemon on fish and then add everything else? But I love fish, thank you for the recipe!

My bf loves goat cheese so I wanted to incorporate that into dinner for valentines day. This recipe was so yummy his eyes lite up when he realized it was goat cheese on top! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

I tried this but tweaked it a little bit. I used blue marlin instead of tilapia and used sun dried tomatoes instead of the fresh ones. My oh my, it was phenomenal and super yum! Thanks for posting this!
